All international guests will arrive at Tocumen International Airport (PTY), Panama's main international gateway. It is well connected from major U.S. cities, Latin America, and Europe, with direct flights available from New York, Miami, Houston, and other major hubs. The airport is approximately forty-five minutes from Casco Viejo by car.
A valid passport is required for entry into Panama. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your travel dates.
U.S. citizens do not require a visa for tourism stays of up to one hundred and eighty days. Citizens of most other countries also do not require a visa and may stay up to ninety days. Some nationalities require a stamped or authorized visa obtained prior to travel. Upon entry, you may be asked to show proof of a return or onward ticket, and immigration may request proof of sufficient funds.
We recommend confirming your country's specific requirements with the Panamanian Embassy or your local consulate well in advance of travel.
We strongly recommend using Uber to get around Panama City. It is widely available, reliable, and very affordable. Simply download the app before you arrive.
We recommend avoiding the yellow taxis. They are generally not metered, can be unreliable, and are best skipped in favor of Uber for a more seamless and predictable experience.
Please keep in mind that traffic in Panama City can be heavy, and Casco Viejo is especially busy on weekends. If you are not staying within walking distance, we recommend allowing extra time to arrive comfortably.
We recommend staying in Casco Viejo, Panama City's historic district and the heart of our wedding weekend. Unlike most of Panama City, Casco Viejo is a walkable neighborhood: its cobblestone streets, plazas, and landmarks are all easily explored on foot, making it a truly special place to spend the weekend. Both the ceremony and the Reception are located here, making it the most convenient and atmospheric place to base yourselves. Please note that the Welcome Party will be held outside of Casco Viejo, but Uber will get you there with ease.
